The Common Sense Songs radio program was created by us for the purpose of broadcasting current political and social issues, progressive ideas and thoughts, historical events, and the folk music that we love. Our radio station, WBCR - Berkshire Community Radio - has closed it's brick-and-mortar studio and is currently broadcasting from our transmitter only. We have a very good automated program, which also uploads syndicated shows such as Democracy Now, but as of yet, no hosted programming. This will be changing in the New Year, when hosts including ourselves, will start to upload pre-recorded shows to the transmitter which will go out over the air. Our allotted time for Common Sense Songs for the last 10 years, has been every Wednesday night from 8 to 10 PM, and we expect to keep that time. We will keep updating this site to let folks know what is happening. A few years ago, Common Sense Songs moved to every OTHER Wednesday night, and on the alternate Wednesdays, Graham hosted his solo show, Folk Blues and Beyond, which was devoted more to folk, contemporary folk and singer/songwriter music. We expect that this show too, will continue. The WBCR community of programmers is meeting frequently to "re-boot" the station and to figure out funding sources and hopefully, to find a new studio.
